Amazon announced today a developer preview for Alexa that brings eight new free voices to Skills. This is not quite the voice revision that Google Assistant receives, but it's a start.
Here's the case: Alexa has two more votes than Google Assistant, but these will not replace the one you usually hear – nor any of them expressed by John Legend .

The new developer preview allows programmers to incorporate the voices of Polly from Amazon, a speech synthesis platform, in Alexa Skills – additional utilities including games, entertainment and new abilities. That will not change the voice you hear when you say "Alexa, what time is it?" However, this is a bit of a disappointment.
Why You Should Care: This gives developers the ability to use different voices without having to download MP3 files or create custom audio tracks. And making it easier to add diversity to the skills is good for everyone who uses them.

Using Amazon Polly, you can choose a different voice for each utterance using Structured Speech Markup Language (SSML) and specifying an Amazon Polly voice with the help of the tag "vocal name". It's as simple as that. You can even use an Amazon Polly voice for each statement of your skill if you wish.
If a developer wants to create a Skill where, for example, two characters have a conversation (like a female voice that tells a typing joke to a character with a ringing voice), they will now be able to do this without additional work .
The integration is free. Developers interested in the survey can follow this link for more information. Consumers interested in learning more about Alexa Skills can either visit the Amazon page or ask their Alexa device to talk to them about skills.
