On systems affected by the problem, Windows complains that a Windows 10 Home license key is used with a Windows 10 Pro installation. To solve the problem, the system needs to be cleaned and Windows 10 Home installed. Otherwise, an authentic Windows 10 Pro key must be used.
Microsoft acknowledged the existence of the problem and its origin in an unspecified problem related to Windows authentication servers, but nothing planned for the moment. Windows 10 Pro licenses appear to be valid and a resolution is promised within a few business days.
