Welcome to The Basic Principles of TNW A collection of tips, tricks, guides, and tips to get the most out of your gadgets, applications, and other items.

Have you ever wanted to discreetly filter some people from your social media feeds? We feel good and we are here to help you do it in seconds on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, without your 'friends' knowing.

We all have friends who post far too many pictures of their kids and spamment your news feed with wrong opinions about politics. Fortunately, there is a simple way to remove their posts from the feed. Just go to their profile, click on the arrow button next to the "Next" label, and click on Do not follow anymore.

Twitter makes it much easier to mute accounts. On the app or desktop site, go to the profile of the person you want to disable, click or tap the three-dot menu, then choose Disable you will follow them anyway (which means that they can send you a message), but you will not see their tweets in your feed.

There are two levels of muting on Instagram. If you like someone's thread, but do not care what he has eaten for lunch, you can simply turn off his ephemeral stories. To do this, look for the picture of their profile at the top of your stream in the Stories section, tap and hold their picture, and then tap Mute.

If you want to completely deactivate an account, go to his profile, touch the three-dot menu on the right, and then press Mute. In the following menu, you can choose to disable the posts, stories, or both of this user. Do not forget that you will always follow the account when you do it.
